Homer Junior High School Teacher Earns National Scholarship

Homer Junior High School Agriculture Teacher Alison Sharpe has been awarded the 2023 National Association of Agricultural Educators Teachers Turn the Key (TTTK) Scholarship Award!

This award recognizes Alison’s hard work and dedication to agricultural education. She was one of only 36 educators nationwide to receive this award, presented during the 2023 NAAE Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.

"We are so proud of Alison and the positive impact she has on our school community,” Homer Junior High School Principal Kara Schneider said. “We are so fortunate to have her educating our students.”

The recipients of the National Association of Agricultural Educators Teachers Turn the Key Scholarship Award receive five days of professional development tailored to address the specific challenges faced by early-career agricultural educators. Additionally, recipients have the opportunity to network with other NAAE convention attendees and become involved in NAAE leadership. This experience provides them tools to support their successful careers as agricultural educators.

Congratulations, Alison!
