It was a bittersweet way to end the season in 2022.
The Homer Volleyball team had just put out their best performance of the season in a loss to Marcellus, nearly achieving a sectional finals berth. The Trojans are using that loss as motivation fueled by their experience for the 2023 season. The Trojans are led by outside hitters Lilly Sorenson and Mackenzie Hubbard in addition to libero Mallory Douglass. With a solid senior class returning this season, head coach Jeremy Cook hopes his team can take the next step forward as a program. “This is one of the most experienced teams we have had in a few years,” Cook said. “The girls have really put a lot into getting themselves better and we are very excited to see how all of that experience comes together this season.”
