Homer Field Hockey Continues to Build Amid Big Turnout Numbers

Homer, NY  --  The Homer Field Hockey team believes there are strength in numbers.

One of the only teams in the area with both a Junior-Varsity and Varsity team, the Trojans look to continue to build for the 2023 season. Led by forwards Brylee Darnell, Molly McMasters, Mallory Kline and goalie Aislynn Cobb, the Trojans return two of their top scorers and their top goalie from a season ago. With five games decided by two goals or less in 2022, head coach Brooke Head is looking forward to seeing what her players can do. “We’re looking forward to watching our younger team grow as we’ve added some incoming freshmen and sophomores to our roster,” Head said. “We are lucky to be one of the few field hockey teams that has a JV team and we can’t wait to see our program continue to grow.”

The Trojans kickoff their season at home versus Mount Markham on Thursday, August 31. Opening whistle is set for 12:00 pm.
