The Class of 2027 was warmly welcomed recently at the 2023 Link Crew Orientation at Homer High School!

Upperclassmen greeted freshmen with team-building activities and insights into navigating high school. Smiles filled the gymnasium as students popped balloons, danced with pool noodles, and sang "Waddaly Atcha" faster and faster. After, the students split into groups throughout the school, where the freshmen received tips from their upperclassmen peers on thriving in high school.

The goal of Link Crew is to help younger students become comfortable with their new surroundings.

"Success in school starts from the beginning," Homer High School Principal Doug Van Etten said. "What a great day for the Class of 2027 to connect with other students and become familiar with Homer High School. They are off to a great start."
