Chase Mielke is an award winning educator, speaker, writer and author of The Burnout Cure: Learning to Love Teaching Again.
A Michigan Teacher of the Year Nominee, Chase travels all over the world – from Turkey to Thailand to remote villages in Alaska – to teach students, parents, and educators the science of perspective, purpose, and perseverance. His work has been featured on CNN, Huffington Post, Greater Good Magazine, and he is a regular columnist for Educational Leadership.
As a veteran educator and parent, he is passionate about helping others learn the science of well-being so they can be at their best to give their best. For his work minimizing the achievement gap with at-risk high schoolers, his Positive Psychology program received a Michigan Association of School Administrators’ “Winner’s Circle Award.” The program teaches concepts of positive emotion, engagement, meaning, and accomplishment to hundreds of students each year, especially at-risk high schoolers. Consistently, students reduced failure rates by at least 50% each year.
He has created multiple viral posts as a writer on parenting, teaching, and positive psychology, including, “What Students Really Need to Hear” which has been read and watched by over 6 million people in 190 countries in the world.
