Senior Ball, Senior Night and Graduation UPDATE

Senior Ball, Senior Night and Graduation UPDATE

On June 15th, Governor Cuomo announced most COVID-19 restrictions had been lifted. This morning (June 16th) the governor lifted restrictions that had included Pre-K through 12 education end of year events. This will impact our Senior Ball, Senior Night and Graduation activities.

Based on the size of our venues and events, the following modifications will be implemented:

  • For this Saturday’s Senior Ball, vaccinated attendees will not be required to wear masks at the event.

  • For Senior Night on June 23 at 7pm, seniors and guests may attend with no vaccination or testing requirements limiting who may attend. Masks are still required for unvaccinated individuals, pursuant to federal CDC guidelines. We ask that no more than 4 people per senior attend this event ( a senior and 4 other guests).

  • For Graduation on June 26 at 10 am, seniors and guests may attend with no vaccination or testing requirements limiting who may attend. Seating will be provided in the home side bleachers with additional seating on the track on either side of the graduating seniors. We will not be limiting attendees to the event. We look forward to welcoming all who wish to join us in-person to celebrate the Homer Class of 2021. This event is outside and inclement weather may cause a change in date or time.

We are thankful for your patience and excited to announce these changes in our end of year celebrations. Please contact the high school administration office at 607-749-1208 if you have any questions or if you are in need of any special accommodations.
