Homer to Induct New Member to National Honor Society
The Homer Central School District would like to say congratulations to the newest member of the National Honor Society, Sophie B! Sophie will be formally inducted during the National Honor Society Spring Induction Ceremony. Congratulations Sophie! Please enjoy this speech written for Sophie:
We are very pleased to introduce our Fall inductee for the 2020-2021 school year. Having been a friend of ours for many years we have made countless fond memories with her. Not only does she excel in her studies but also as a true and supportive friend. This student will truly make a great addition to our chapter of National Honors Society. Within school, this person takes possibly an above healthy amount of AP and dual enrollment classes, but she also has time to read a ton of books outside of school, and talk about them with her friends. This student not only prioritizes their studies but also their friends and those they care about. Recently in their spare time, they have even created an at home business selling baked goods. Something which this individual has done for many years is baking and we can attest that she has made some of the best foods we’ve ever had. This individual is dedicated, thoughtful, caring, supportive, independent, and passionate. All the qualities which make her an outstanding student, individual and now a member of the National Honor Society. We are so excited and proud to induct Sophie B as our newest member of NHS. Welcome Soph and congrats!
