Homer, NY --  Homer student-athletes Catherine Apker, Sam Sorenson and Mitch Riter signed national letters of intent recently as they made their college commitments known.

Apker will play soccer at Lafayette College, Sorenson will wrestle for Army, and Riter will golf at Assumption University.

“Anyone who knows these student-athletes aren’t surprised at their success,” Homer Athletic Director Todd Lisi said. “Our Homer community couldn’t be more proud of their achievements and we can’t wait to see them compete at the next level.”

The ceremony included remarks from the student-athletes’ parents as well as a reception afterword.
