Please note that the Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2012 will be held at the Junior High cafeteria. This is a change from the location in the printed calendar.

SP - Spring Sports 2012

JV and Varsity Sports begin on Monday, March 12

JH Sports begin on Monday, April 2nd

JV and Varsity sport physicals are scheduled on Thursday, March 1st at 8:15 in the HS nurse's office

Jh physicals are scheduled on Wednesday, March 28th at 8:15 in the JH nurse's office

HS - Class of 2014 Semi Formal Dance

The Class of 2014 Semi Formal Dance will be Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 8-11 PM at Homer Senior High School. DJ Philly C will provide entertainment. Snacks will be available. Digi Pro will be available for students that desire a commemorative photograph.

Homer students in ninth and tenth grade may purchase tickets during lunch periods starting February 1st. Tickets are $10 per person and includes refreshments as well as entry to the dance.

DO - Early Dismissal -Tuesday, 1/31/12

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 will be a Half-Day dismissal at all HCSD schools for staff curriculum sessions. The dismissal times are as follows:

Junior High 11:00 am
High School 11:15 am
Hartnett Elementary 12:10 pm
Homer Elementary 12:00 pm
Homer Intermediate 12:15 pm

Notes: There are no late buses, and lunches will be served in all buildings prior to dismissal.

JH - 8th Grade Student & Parent Presentation

The high school guidance counselors will be presenting information about freshman course selection. Parents will be able to pick up the course selection form containing recommendations from 8^th grade teachers at the presentation. The high school guidance counselors will also be meeting with students in science classes on Tuesday, January 24^th.

Wednesday, January 25^th 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Location: Bonne’ Auditorium

Thursday, January 26^th(snow date) 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Location: Bonne’ Auditorium

Please feel free to bring your 8^th grader with

you to the meeting.
