HS - 2008 Driver Education Program

The Driver Education Program will be conducted once again this summer. Driver Education is not offered for credit on the high school diploma. The fee for Driver Education is $100 per student and is due at registration. Payment must be made payable to the Homer Central School District.

HS - Homer Girl's Lax Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

On Saturday May 17th the Homer School District Girl's Lacrosse Teams will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Currently we have 34 particpants and have raised over $1,000.00.

This race is to help raise money to help support the fight against breast cancer. One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Central New York Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure.

Please join our team in the fight by pledging in support of our participation in the Race or contributing generously to the CNY Race for the Cure. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in Central New York and national breast cancer research. HS - Interact Book Drive

The Homer Interact Club will be holding a book drive starting next week and lasting throughout the remainder of the school year. We are working with the Sennightly Literary Club of Homer to help sponsor a community-based project called the Little Red Bookshelf to help benefit the children in our community. If you would like to donate used books to this project drop boxes will be available in the Homer High School office and in Mrs. George's room 122. We are hoping to establish additional drop off sites around the community in the days to come and will keep all posted.

HS - SADD's Yard Sale!

SADD is accepting donations for its 2nd annual Memorial Day Weekend Yard Sale. Please see Michael Massenzio at the high school (x4213) with questions/ donations. We will begin collecting items on May 23rd.

This same day, SADD will be hosting a car wash and a chicken bbq!

This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2008 in front of the bus garage.

Homer FFA is selling Ducks for the annual Oswegatchie FFA Camp Duck Race. It will take place at the McDonald Sports Complex beginning at midnight and ending at 3:30 a.m. We are looking for volunteers to help the night of the party. It really is an enjoyable experience. HS - After Prom Party Meeting - 3/13/08

The next meeting of the After Prom Party Committee is scheduled for March 13th at 7:00 in the High School Cafeteria. The After Prom Party will be held at the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex from midnight until 3:30 a.m. following the prom on May 10th. The party is designed as a fun, safe and substance free way to finish off prom night. Parents are needed to help plan, decorate, chaperone and bake for this event.
