The School Community Association is an active group of parents and teachers at the Homer and Hartnett Elementary Schools and the Homer Intermediate School whose major purpose is to improve communication between home and school. Several activities are sponsored during the year.

The Homer Elementary SCA, the Hartnett Elementary SCA, the Junior High Character Education Group, and the Homer High School Parents Organization will each draw up their calendar for the year at their first meeting in the fall.

The focus of the high school group is to answer questions for parents, improve communication between the school and parents, and improve the school system. There is a mailbox in the high school main office for messages for the high school parent organization.
