Homer High School
Social Studies Department
Electives
The Homer High Social Studies Department believes that students will become more well-rounded, interested people if they are able to investigate topics holding special interest for them. We feel that the following elective courses, along with our three Advanced Placement course offerings, give our students opportunities to follow their own developing interests and become more successful graduates.
These courses require junior or senior standing. Regular reading, writing, and research assignments should be expected in all. Successful completion of any Social Studies elective course earns one-half credit for a one-semester course, and one credit for a full-year course.
