Students Visit Elizabeth Brewster House Students Visit Elizabeth Brewster House: Mrs. Pitcher's class visited the Elizabeth Brewster House to read their original poems to some of the residents during activity period.  The class spent the past six weeks writing original poems and they were excited to share them with their new friends.     more >>
Two Student Compete at Regional Science Fair Two Student Compete at Regional Science Fair: Congratulations to the following students that competed in the Regional Science Fair in Syracuse: Fifth grader Emma E. received Highest Honors, Lockheed Martin Science & Technology Award and IEEE Award in Electrical and Computer Engineering. 6th Graders Put on Scavenger Hunt 6th Graders Put on Scavenger Hunt: Sixth grade students put on a scavenger hunt to help the fifth graders prepare for the junior high. Students were put in groups, mixed with fifth and sixth graders. The sixth graders did a question and answer segment, and asked fifth graders questions about what they know about the junior high. Author Visits Homer Intermediate School Author Visits Homer Intermediate School: Students at Homer Intermediate School recently learned about perseverance when author Daniel Jude Miller stopped by for a visit.   Miller, who is known for his “Monsters in Manhattan” book series, spoke to students about what it takes to become a published author.
