Lower East Side Tenement Museum  An interesting site detailing the history of a tenement building on Orchard Street in New York City.  Click on the Urban Log Cabin link to view the building in 1870 or 1915; then click on the windows to visit each apartment’s tenants and read their stories.  The Tenement VR link lets you control the camera and tour an apartment in the tenement as it would have been in 1870 or 1935.  Be sure to read the History link for a wonderful description of the immigrant experience.
