Because you have a child in the Homer Intermediate School, you are a member of the SCA. The SCA is your child’s School Community Association. We exist to make the children’s school experience a positive one! To accomplish this goal, we need parent involvement. Be part of the decision making – help to enhance your child’s experience.

Event Descriptions
* There are a wide variety of ways to become involved in the Intermediate School SCA.
* Listed below is a general description of events sponsored by the SCA.
* Please consider volunteering for 1 or more event.
* Event chairpersons are also needed. Please consider volunteering to chair/co-chair an event.
Staff Appreciation Breakfast (September 15): Volunteers needed to bake. Also, volunteers are needed for set up/clean up.
Scholastic Book Fair (September 16): Volunteers are needed to set-up, clean-up, and work as cashiers. This is the evening of Open House for grades 3-5.
3rd Grade Pumpkin Night (October 20): Volunteers are needed for set-up and clean-up. Students bring their own pumpkin and decorate with paint and other craft materials provided.
Family Movie Night (November 5): Volunteers are needed to distribute refreshments during intermission.
Bus Driver Appreciation (February 16): Volunteers are needed to bake. Volunteers also needed to set up, clean up, and to deliver breakfast pizzas.
Staff Appreciation Luncheon (May, date TBD): Volunteers are needed for cooking and baking. Also, set up and clean up.
5th Grade Parents Needed (June 20): Host 6th Grade Recognition Night: 5th grade parent volunteers are needed to provide snacks, beverages, set-up and clean-up during the reception following the 6th grade ceremony.
