The Homer Junior High Library is committed to supporting the mission of the Homer Junior High in providing a rigorous academic experience while developing thoughtful, resilient, open-minded, and independent young people. This is done through a combination of collection development that focuses not only on supporting curricular goals, but also that enhances students' social-emotional learning and well-being, and fostering equity and diversity. The library program fosters a welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking skills and empowers students to become ethical and responsible citizens through collaboration with classroom teachers and direct instruction in information literacy skills.
